"A fantastic museum for animal-loving kids and adults We had a wonderful visit to the Naturkundemuseum Karlsruhe, especially for children who are interested in animals. The aquarium section is truly impressive, with extremely beautiful and rare fish – even two sharks! There are also crocodiles and turtles, which were a big highlight. The taxidermy collection is very well done and diverse, featuring animals such as sloths, armadillos, birds, deer, owls, bats, and a fascinating variety of insects. Everything is well presented and educational without being overwhelming. One small downside was the cafeteria: when we arrived around 14:00, there were no real meals available, only sweet treats. It would be nice to have more savory options, especially for families with children. Overall, a great place to spark curiosity about nature and wildlife, and highly recommended for families."

"While initial reason for visiting museum was to avoid rainy weather, I was glad to check it out. Expansive live aquariums on the first floor weren’t my expectations for Natural History museum, very cool idea to combine with taxidermist animal exhibitions. Quite reasonable adult admission cost."

"Great museum. Not that big, but still a lot of exhibits with many information. Even though there were many people, it didnt feel crowded. Small cafe is inside with some sweets and coffee. Spend in museum at least 3 hours."

"This Natural History Museum offers a brilliant variety of exhibits, especially focusing on animals; from the fossils of creatures that lived before the dinosaurs, to taxidermied lions, bears and others, and even a sizeable collection of living animals, mostly fish, invertebrates, reptiles amphibians, such as the rare Chinese giant salamander! I thoroughly recommend you visit."

"Great value and lots to explore – especially with kids We spent about two hours at the Natural History Museum in Karlsruhe with our three children and had a great time. The highlight for the kids was definitely the live aquariums – especially the sharks and the crocodiles, which were fascinating to watch up close. There are also a few interactive exhibits, like one where you can feel the shaking of an earthquake, which added a fun and educational touch. Considering that children get in for free and adult tickets are only €6, it’s amazing value. There was a temporary exhibition as well, but we were advised to just explore the permanent collection, which covers about 80% of the museum – and that was more than enough for us. Highly recommended for families looking for an affordable and engaging museum visit."
