Breakfast in the Karstadt department store
Kaiserstraße 147-159, 76133 Karlsruhe

Le Buffet is located in the Karstadt department store and invites its customers and more to enjoy good food. It is a classic buffet / self-service restaurant, offering plenty of space, both at the seats and at the buffet itself.
There is a large selection of fixed dishes as well as dishes that change regularly. You can have lunch straight after breakfast and then move on to coffee and cake before moving on to dinner.
Breakfast at Le Buffet
The restaurant is roughly tied to the opening hours of Kartstadt and even closes a little earlier. However, breakfast is "only" served from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. They are very strict and clear away breakfast promptly. However, coffee and cake are available well after the end of breakfast time.
In addition to the classic breakfasts, there is coffee and cake and various hot dishes are also available at this time of day. For breakfast, for example, there is the "6+1" offer, where you take 6 items from the buffet and add a coffee, tea or hot chocolate. One item from the buffet is a bread roll, jam or Nutella or something similar.
How to get to Le Buffet
There's not really much to say here. In the Karstadt department store you go to the 4th floor and you're already there. There are plenty of parking garages in the area and there are also countless streetcars that run to the nearby stations.
And because you are right in the city center, it is of course also within walking distance.

Opinions from Others
The following reviews were found on Google. However, they do not reflect our own opinion.
"The GALERIA Restaurant offers a surprisingly good selection of fresh food at fair prices. The hot dishes are delicious, especially the daily specials and the salad buffet. The service was friendly and prompt, even though it was a bit busier at lunchtime. The atmosphere is functional but clean and tidy – it's easy to find a seat and has a good overview of the various stations. The restaurant is a good choice for a break from shopping or a quick, hearty lunch. Not fine dining, but definitely recommended!"
"The interior design is easy to overlook; it's functional, and that's pretty much enough. The food was freshly prepared, and they even asked whether you wanted your salmon cooked well or glazed. The staff seemed very friendly and experienced. The prices may be a bit higher, but what matters is that the food tastes good and the value is worth it."
"Stay away from the XXL schnitzel. Horrible... I almost wrote "meat." A disgusting texture, it felt like breaded boiled ham. Was it perhaps pressed meat? And the dessert... Ready-made chocolate mousse mix is perfectly fine in a cafeteria, but this pseudo-rum flavor, which can then hide all sorts of other culinary horrors, is not acceptable. A complete disaster for over €20."
"I only remember it from before, when it was still good. Today I was there with my mother and the little one. The food was okay, edible, but nothing special. What bothered me more was the high chairs—they were leftovers from five weeks ago, and none of them were clean. The children's area had unsecured electrical outlets and cables just lying around. There were also dirty and broken mats on the floor. And now for the kicker: my son is thankfully still too young, but children as young as two or three could easily have climbed onto the chair that was ON the climbing frame and, in the worst-case scenario, fallen off. Doesn't anyone supervise? I've seen enough; we won't be going there again."
