The Breakfast Club at The Last Meal BBQ

Kriegsstraße 23, 76133 Karlsruhe

Eine Katze sitzt auf einem gedeckten Frühstückstisch

The Last Meal BBQ is a new and popular restaurant in Karlsruhe, which is also known for its delicious breakfasts. The restaurant is located at Kriegsstraße 23 and is therefore very centrally located. It is open from Tuesday to Sunday. However, breakfast is "only" served on Saturdays and Sundays

The American breakfast

The breakfast is very varied and offers something for every taste. There is a large selection of hot and cold dishes, always in American style. So if you're looking for bread rolls with a few slices of sausage, you're definitely in the wrong place.

But what exactly does that mean? The menu is divided into savory, sweet, bagels and eggs. The savory breakfast includes baked potatoes with kale and scrambled eggs, Mexican corn pancakes, roast beef sandwiches and more. Everything sounds like something you have to try. The sweet section includes pancakes with maple syrup and peanut butter toast. There is also a small but very interesting selection of bagels. You can put together the explicit egg dish yourself.

All dishes can be combined with sides. You will definitely be full.

The prices

The prices at the Breakfast Club are reasonable. However, you should expect to pay at least 7 to 16 plus a drink. But if you read the menu, this is quite justified.

Conclusion

The Breakfast Club at The Last Meal BBQ is a great restaurant for a delicious and varied breakfast. With its American breakfast, The Last Meal BBQ has a unique selling point. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting. The look is really successful and is not only inviting for breakfast. The prices are reasonable.

Opinions from Others

The following reviews were found on Google. However, they do not reflect our own opinion.

"I loved the place. It is definitely the definition of an American texan restaurant. We tried the burgers (goat and loui) which in our opinion were too sweet because of the dressing but still very good. I LOVED the cesar salad which is so hard to find a good one in my opinion. The waiters where nice, friendly and quite fast. The place itself is so nicely decorated but a bit of a maze so getting the attention of a waiter was a bit hard if they were not already walking around (which they do quite often so it was okay). I would totally recommend but I would have a cheeseburger next time."

"I've been in Germany for a long time and this is the first BBQ place that's impressed me from start to finish. It was a great way to celebrate my birthday dinner as well as to introduce my son to his first real US-style BBQ experience. The "All-In" starter platter had enough food & options for meat-eaters like my son & I and Mac & Cheese Balls as well as Corn Ribs for my vegetarian GF and her daughter to enjoy. My son & I both had the Holy Trinity platter. The brisket was fire and the ribs & pulled pork were also great. My GF said that it was the best veggie burger she'd ever had and her daughter's smashbirger was worthy of a repeat. Our server was awesome, friendly, and attentive and our food came promptly...which was made more impressive by the fact that there was a party going on at the same time and buffet tables worth of food was also being brought out. Well done, folks. Absolute recommendation if you're in the KA area and we'll be back ASAP. 😀"

"The ambiance and atmosphere were spot-on, creating a perfect setting for a memorable meal. Coming from the states I found the food to be familiar and what I would expect from an average BBQ restaurant. Food portions were just right. The food had lots of flavor, and some items really stood out. I highly recommend the corn ribs and mac and cheese balls—both were absolutely delicious! The pastrami sandwich was also packed with flavor, a real treat. The cheese was a bit strong for my taste, but others who enjoy a stronger cheese will appreciate. I had the Mexican pulled beef sandwich as well. It was enjoyable, although it could have used a bit more heat for my taste since I’m a fan of really spicy food. The mashed potatoes were average, but the gravy really elevated them, making them a delightful side. Service was decent (for Germany). The wait time was reasonable, nothing out of the ordinary. Overall, a wonderful experience that I’d definitely recommend to anyone looking for something different."

"My wife and I ordered the platter for two. The chilli cheese wurst was good and so was the fried chicken. The baked beans and the coleslaw were wierdly tangy. The pulled pork was a bit bland. The biggest disappointment were the ribs. Unedibly dry. Tried dipping them in the BBQ sauce but it did little to help. At €64.00, a very expensive meal. There were other items on the menu that I want to try out though. The Rubin sandwich and the Philly sandwich might be good. All in all, the atmosphere is unique and the staff are friendly. I am willing to try the other menu items."
