Grimminger bakery at Europaplatz
The Grimminger bakery is located on Europaplatz in the immediate vicinity of the streetcars. It is in the Postgalerie with direct access from the outside and various outdoor seating areas. Of course there are also a few places inside. It's worth a look, as the walls are decorated with art. You can tell that the focus is primarily on commuters or very small groups. There is not much more room than for two at the often small tables. However, there are a few tables that offer more space. If the guests take the seats they need, there is always enough room here.
Grimminger is first and foremost a bakery, as the full name suggests. And so many people come to this traditional bakery to buy bread or rolls. But there are also sweet items and small breakfast snacks to take away.
Of course, you can also eat the snacks on the spot, otherwise the seats would be free. The breakfast snacks include sandwiches and rolls, pastries, cakes and small breakfast platters with cheese, sausage and jam. To round it all off, coffee and other drinks are also available.
I think one advantage of having breakfast at a bakery is the selection of pastries and cakes. This is known to be larger than in small classic breakfast cafés.

You can't miss it. There are 2 streetcar stops at Europaplatz, maybe 50 meters apart.

"It’s the feel of a fast food shop with small black serving trays. The decor is ok and the location good for watching a buzzing Karlsruhe. "Egg and Leberkäse in Dampfnudeln?!?! That's genius!!!!! For years I've been saying that German are being too careful with the way they cook. It really doesn't hurt to add some creativity and mix it with tradition. See, it's not hard at all, isn't it? Thanks so much for making my dream come true. Please continue being bold and creative. -------- I changed the ratings to 2 stars based on the following reason: No free WiFi (need to ask for PW perhaps), toilet access needs key and no power outlet. But the main reason for deduction of stars is: The second time, the Dampfnudeln was not warmed but cold and it tastes horrible. After purchasing coffee to go, staff told me I'm unable to sit inside and has to change to mug, which they could've told me earlier."
