"Karlsruhe's Main Cemetery was developed in 1874, after the existing municipal cemeteries reached their capacity, and currently covers an area of 34 hectares. In addition to the usual graves, the site also includes a Jewish cemetery and an Islamic burial ground. The Large and Small Chapels and the crematorium are just a few of the numerous buildings."

"A lovely spot for a walk, enjoying nature and peace and quiet. Free of charge. Direct S-Bahn connection, very easily accessible by public transport."
"One star deducted because I personally don't care for the eclectic mix of styles. Quirky pieces next to venerable old ones. Otherwise, a beautiful, fairly large cemetery in the east of Karlsruhe. No noise. The trees! Just look at the old trees in the main cemetery! They're fantastic!"
"Beautiful cemetery park, peace, birdsong, many old plane trees... the final resting place of my dear husband and, someday, of me."
"A beautifully landscaped, park-like cemetery. However, the wayfinding system urgently needs improvement. The numbering is inadequate, making it very difficult to find a grave."
