"Karlsruhe's main cemetery was established in 1874 after the city's existing cemeteries reached their capacity and currently covers an area of 34 hectares. In addition to the usual graves, the grounds also include a Jewish cemetery and an Islamic burial ground. The large and small chapels and the crematorium are just some of the numerous buildings on the site."

"A lovely spot for a walk, enjoying nature and peace and quiet. Free of charge. Direct S-Bahn connection, very easily accessible by public transport."
"One star deducted because I personally don't care for the eclectic mix of styles. Quirky pieces next to venerable old ones. Otherwise, a beautiful, fairly large cemetery in the east of Karlsruhe. No noise. The trees! Just look at the old trees in the main cemetery! They're fantastic!"
"Beautiful cemetery park, peace and quiet, birdsong, many old plane trees... resting place of my dear husband and someday of me."
"The Karlsruhe main cemetery is laid out like a park and is very well maintained. My wife and I like to come here not just to water the flowers, but also to spend an hour or so and take a stroll. A great deal of effort has clearly been put into the design and upkeep of this cemetery."
