Café Cielo - relaxed atmosphere in Durlach

Pfinztalstraße 56A, 76227 Karlsruhe

Eine Katze sitzt auf einem gedeckten Frühstückstisch

In the middle of Durlach's old town, directly opposite the picturesque little market square, you can feel the real Italian lifestyle in summer. Hidden behind a pair of sunglasses, locals enjoy the morning sun, life and the hustle and bustle of the market square over a cappuccino at Cafés Cielo before starting work or simply in between.

It's a great way to start the day in a relaxed atmosphere ...

Breakfast at Café Cielo

If you have a little more time and are hungry, you can study the breakfast menu, which is appealing and offers a good selection at a good price-performance ratio. You will find what you are looking for, especially if you have a small breakfast appetite. There are many different combinations of bread rolls or croissants with butter, jam, Nutella or honey.

If this doesn't appeal to you, you can choose the "Cielo" breakfast (bread roll, butter, egg, cheese, Camembert, boiled ham) or the "Geneva" breakfast (bread roll, croissant, various cheeses, jam and egg).

The extras also offer a wide range, from fruit salad to tortex and a (butter) pretzel. However, fish lovers or those looking for something savory, such as scrambled eggs or a warm omelette, will not be happy, as there is no offer in this regard.

The selection of drinks, on the other hand, leaves nothing to be desired. It is rare to see such a variety of quality coffee, hot chocolate and tea. The use of organic products is also striking.

Opinions from Others

The following reviews were found on Google. However, they do not reflect our own opinion.

"The atmosphere is cute, but it was a bit chilly. I prefer a café on a cold and foggy November day toasty, so I want to spend all day there. This was not the case. We’ve been cold after 2h. Service is horrible and the coffee as well. I did not drink my coffee and the waitress asked if I still want it. Told her it’s a disgrace and she shrugged and walked off. When we paid and even gave her a tip, there was no thank you, nor a ‘have a good day, weekend, Sunday, whatsoever’."

"Good drink selection, including alcohol free cocktails. Tried the vegan and vegetarian (with sheep cheese) flammkuchens, both great! Kind wait staff."

"Good cafe. You can even get breakfast. The stuff is ok. They speak English. Prices are little bit expensive. Most of clients are 40+ age."

"Charming, cosy and friendly cafe where we had a very nice little lunch snack today. The waitress was so friendly and smiley, and was very patient and kind with us despite our total lack of German! Definitely recommend!"
